Here's my entry.
The government has decided to remove all traffic speed limits from urban areas. When it was suggested that this would lead to a dramatic increase in fatalities involving road vehicles, the government dismissed these concerns out of hand.Yes, it's spoof Harry's Place time.
"Need I remind you,", said Mr Blair "that such fatalities were happening before the introduction of this sensible measure". He went on to explain that this proved that nothing his government ever did could possibly make the situation worse.
